Happy birthday Canada. Let’s celebrate the red and white.

I say happy birthday to Canada as they celebrate their country’s beginnings. Canada will be 152 years old.

Ideas to celebrate

Many villages, towns, cities and large metropolises in Canada will be having a happy birthday celebration on July 1st. What are you planning to do? Many changes over  the years

Our country has had many many ups and downs and go-arounds,  many trials and tribulations, many very proud moments of accomplishment in many different areas, over the past 152 years.

Diverse Country

 We are a large land mass-based country with diverse terrain, a diverse cultural aspect and diverse history. There are many, many different cultures all live together in this country.

9 what to do ideas

Here are 9 ideas you can do in your community or maybe travel a little bit to get to them but it makes it that much more exciting;

  • 1) Have a barbecue with family and friends try to keep the theme of red and white Canada’s symbol colors and don’t forget the s’mores
  • 2) Join your community celebrations. Every community has some kind of a celebration to mark July 1st whether it be a picnic, a rodeo, tubing down the Rideau River.
  • 3) Go for a hike or walk in the natural splendor of this beautiful country with your favorite people and don’t forget to bring your favorite pet.
  • 4) Have a bonfire followed by fireworks and s’mores, see if you can figure out what stars are showing in the sky
  • 5) Have a picnic at the beach or at a park anywhere you choose to go but it’s just nice to get out and spread out a blanket and have your favorite foods to eat and beverages to drink.
  • 6) You could get a little crazy and go tubing or canoeing or kayaking take a buddy with you and make a day of it but don’t forget to take your lunch
  • 7) Of course, you could go camping or go to the cottage. Canadians love the outdoors and they especially love the lake.
  • 8) Watch the fireworks in person or on tv or make it an event with family and/or friends. The fireworks are always spectacular.
  • 9) Last but probably not least, celebrate by taking the weekend to relax, rest and rejuvenate in a place you determine to be peaceful.
